Re: The Club Dumas
My wife gave this to me as a gift for my birthday several years ago. I do not remember much about the story but I do remember likening it quite a bit.

I haven't read that one but I did read The Oxford Murders some time ago and I recall that I rather liked it.

The server this site was hosted on died. They had to rebuild the server from scratch and the backup that they used to restore the site was 24 hours old. Any posts in that 24 hour time frame were not...

Re: Message from Sirius--chapters 5 and 6
I'm stuck at around the 60% mark in this book. I've read several other books since I've started this one and it just isn't holding my interest. I may get back to it but I don't see that happening in...

It's funny you mention that as I noticed it too. And the way they are used are unlike any I have seen before. He will first have the period to end the sentence, and then put the ellipses after the...

Not to derail the thread too much, but it took all of 15 minutes from the time that I pulled the cover off until I had it scanned and OCR'd. I have a sheet feed scanner that accepts 50 pages at once...

Re: Book Club: Message from Sirius
I am finding the writing a little off-putting. Lines like, "Who's our friend handing out passes?". It took me a bit just to figure out what the hell he meant by that and it seems that a lot of the...

Re: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
I've read all three of the books and really liked them. They have already filmed all 3 of the movies in Sweden. I watched the first one (subtitled) and it was excellent, very true to the book.

Re: Book Club: Black Aura, first half
No, I still think the image is not correct. It's true that the angle AC does not have to be 90 degrees. However, the angle formed from the plane of the mirror to C (MC) must equal MA and MB. And they...

Yes, $17/month to host a site as small as this one is pretty crazy.

Re: Book Club: Black Aura, first half
I see what you are saying now. If you mean the AC angle, then yes that should be 90 degrees, and it looks like it's something like 75-80 degree. Which as you said, isn't possible :D
