Back panel of DJ has praise for Below Suspicion
Tan cloth with blue lettering on spine
According to Cooper and Pike (Detective Fiction, the Collector's Guide) the first
edition has tan boards and a variant issue with red boards exists. However, I believe the
edition with red boards to be a book club edition. Although the edition with red boards
appears to be a Harpers first edition (it looks exactly like a typical Harpers book with
the first edition slug present) all of the copies that I have seen are either
price-clipped or if they are not price-clipped there is no price present ,,(indicating a
book club book). |
